Getting around The Boulders Resort

The Boulders Resort & Spa is at 34631 N Tom Darlington Dr, Carefree, AZ 85377, in the high desert north of Scottsdale. Its signature look — adobe casitas tucked in among towering granite boulder piles — is exactly what makes it beautiful, and exactly what makes it tiring to get around.

Casitas are spread out across the property rather than stacked in one building, so a trip from your room to the main lodge, the spa, a pool or one of the restaurants often means winding paths with gentle climbs and dips. Add the golf courses and the nearby shops of Carefree and Cave Creek, and a stay here involves more walking than most guests expect.

A rental mobility scooter makes those paths easy, and a wheelchair lets a companion help when needed. We drive up from Phoenix and bring everything to the resort, so you don't have to arrange anything in advance beyond booking.

How Hotel Delivery Works

We bring the equipment to the resort and hand it to you, or leave it with the front desk under your name so it's ready at check-in. If you're in a casita, we can bring it to you there when the resort allows it. At checkout, let us know where it is and we'll collect it.
